Let's Lunch in NYC!

We are the type of people who eat breakfast and are thinking of what to eat for lunch, while we are eating lunch we are thinking of what to eat for dinner and while we're eating dinner, we are dreaming of waking up and doing it all over again. Sound like you? You're not alone! This kind of foodie condition calls for strategic meal planning to ensure that no meal is left behind. To make sure that your lunch isn't treated like a middle child, we have put together a list of some dangerously delicious lunch spots that will rock mid-day blues.

PIG BLEECKER

Pig Bleecker's lunch menu is filled with bold flavor, hearty ingredients and fresh spins on old time classics. This upscale eatery is located in the heart of Soho and its vibrancy is felt as soon as you walk through the doors. The space is trendy yet approachable and their playlist is off the charts... All of our favorite Motown classics were rocking throughout their lunch service. From their take on a smoked meat sandwich to their spin on the classic "pigs in a blanket", we cannot recommend this place enough. Go on an empty stomach, as every item on their menu is sure to make you swoon.

LE BOTANISTE

Vegans, we have not forgotten about you! Le Botaniste is a plant-based organic food and natural wine bar that is located on the Upper East Side. They are serving up hearty organic bowls that are sure to have you think twice about veganism! We were seriously blown away by the incredible assortment of flavor profiled achieved in our vegan bowls, a mixture of curry spices, kimchi, brown rice and sautéed greens. This place is great whether you are on the go and need to grab a quick bite and run or you have some time to sit down and relax in their roof closed back patio. The staff was friendly and helpful in guiding us in building our first vegan bowl. Highly recommended for vegans and even skeptical carnivores!

JG MELON

JG Melon is a New York City staple that has been an institution since 1972. They are cranking out classic burgers, wings and cheese fries that are sure to pull on any foodies heart strings. JG Melon has a cool laid-back vibe that makes you want to hang out, kick back and enjoy a burger and beer with a bunch of your friends. It is the perfect spot to grab a bite for lunch or enjoy happy hour drinks and bar bites after work.

OTTO'S TACOS

No matter what time of the day it is, we are always down for some tacos! Otto's tacos has 3 locations in the city: East Village, West Village and Hell's Kitchen. The menu is small but mighty at this Southern California inspired taqueria. What we love about Otto's, is that they aren't trying to be anything their not. They are using real ingredients to serve up authentic quality dishes that is the perfect pairing for your mid-day hunger. HINT: Keep an eye out for their monthly taco specials!

BLACK SEED BAGELS

Bagels are in our blood. We live, breathe and dream of them. Located in Nolita, Black Seed Bagels are bringing the taste of the famous "Montreal bagel" to NYC. A Montreal-style bagel is a little smaller, denser and sweeter than your average New York City bagel and we are huge fans! These bagels are always baked in a wood fired oven and they are coming out hot, hot, hot! Black Seed Bagels are rolling their bagels by hand, baking them with wood and creating signature sandwiches that will have you crawling back for seconds, thirds and maybe even fourths. As my grandmother always says, "what is wrong with you, eat another bagel!"

CREAMLINE

Spoiler Alert: One of the coolest kids in Chelsea Market is Creamline! Using "farm-to-tray" locally sourced ingredients, Creamline's menu is filled with American classics that we all know and love. Whether you're craving a deep fried chicken sandwich, grilled cheese and tomato soup, milkshakes, all day breakfast (fist pump) or deep fried Oreos... Creamline has you covered. The food is thoughtful, flavorful and the location couldn't be anymore prime as it's located right in the heart of Chelsea Market.

MR. PANZEROTTO

Want a pocked full of sunshine? This new storefront in the West Village is serving up an Italian street food called Panzerotto, which is essentially hot fried dough stuffed with sweet and/or savory filling. Their soft dough can be stuffed with everything from cheese, sausage, chicken, shrimp and even NUTELLA! This pillow of joy makes for the perfect grab-and-go lunch and besides, who doesn't love a little cheat day? Can we get a show of hands please!
